Download Java Per Minecraft 1.5 1.4.7
I recieve no benefits from the links provided other than the gratification of providing convenience. So I did a quick search and I couldn't find a comprehensive guide on how to do this. I admit, it's a little confusing with the method when you're using a mod pack but it's quite simple.Remember when downloading to use the version current to the modpack you intend to install with.I'll be using (The main mod) and 4 content packs. The best way to describe the main mod is it's a module that allows the non-sentient entities into minecraft like vehicles and bullets that are conjured by items such as the vehicle items themselves and the guns.On it's own, the mod has no content.
It's just an api of sorts. Content packs add the items and entities that work with this api.For the sake of this tutorial, I'll be using 4 content packs listed and linked before. I can confirm these packs work with SMP, though I'll be showing how to install them for both SSP and SMP.(Required for all content packs listed after this one)This content pack is contains 'useless parts that do nothing'. It installs all the basic plane and vehicle components nessesary for crafting without users having to make them themselves, therefore this pack is required for all/most flan content packs. This content pack contains the biplane, two seater biplane and a crossbow. Ed marlo cardician pdf creator 1. The directions for installing in the SSP worked great!
I can't seem to get it figured out for the SMP. I'm running 1.4.7 on my Mac. Do you have a tutorial specifically for Macs? The items are shown in the NEI but when I try to bring them in the game it says 'No such item'. I placed the zipped Flans file into a folder named 'mods' in the Ultimate Server folder and once I ran the server jar, a 'Flan' folder was created. I put the 4 unzipped folders into the Flan folder as I did for the SSP but the items still won't work on the server. I need a few details first - The modpack you're using the server log for when you start your server up and what content packs you're using.DOUBLEPOST=/DOUBLEPOSTMy current guess from your description is that you unzipped the content packs into their own folders and copied them straight to the Flan folder. This might be where you've gone wrong.Assuming you've unzipped them into a folder, inside that folder there should be another folder of a similar name and a readme.txt file.

You need to copy that folder.
Ok, first of all, if you're going to ask me why am I trying to start 1.4.7 when 1.12.2 is out. Downgrading is not, was never, and will never be officially supported.

You are advised to run older versions in separate directories. Otherwise, issues like this will occur. When launching Minecraft 1.5.2 or below in a folder that was previously used to start a recent version (e.g. 1.12), the game will crash on start:java.lang.NullPointerExceptionat java.io.Reader.(Unknown Source)at java.io.InputStreamReader.(Unknown Source)at bp.a(SourceFile:64)at bp.a(SourceFile:100)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(SourceFile:252)at avv.a(SourceFile:56)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:507)at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)Also, due to you should instead run newer versions in a separate directory as older versions (also 1.5.2 and earlier) do not properly support non-default directories.
